Now that they’re the world champion Seattle Seahawks, the team’s players are in high demand by the national media. As a result, four Seahawks made the rounds at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., Friday.
Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril, and linebacker Bobby Wagner each donned a snappy suit and tie to appear in studio on a number of television and radio shows, including “Sportscenter” and “NFL Live.”
On “Sportscenter,” the quartet took on the role of panel experts to complete the phrase, “The 49ers are ____.” Bennett’s answer comes off a bit too polite for the others, who quickly identify his pending free agency as the reason for his political correctness.
On “NFL Live,” the group took to some time to chat with quarterback Russell Wilson, who called in only to be teased about his recent appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
The four Seahawks flew Thursday to Connecticut after Wednesday’s massive downtown victory parade in Seattle.
