The hits keep coming for Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson. First came a Super Bowl championship, and then the realization of another dream as the fullback learned a new kind of blocking as he made his acting debut on the longtime CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”

“That’s right up there, right by the Super Bowl,” Robinson told Penn Live. “For me, I’ve been watching Young and the Restless for years.”

Rob’s appearance on the show that aired Thursday was brief, portraying a marketing executive for the Northwest region of mogul Victor Newman. He has just a couple of lines and the scene runs for just a minute, but he says it was a thrill.

“It was definitely a dream come true, especially to be in a scene with Victor Newman. I was like, ‘What?!'” he told Soap Opera Network. “It was a very gratifying experience.”

Robinson says he got the invite to appear on the show after mentioning he’d been a devoted fan since he was young.

“One thing about ‘Y&R’ that’s really the best is they’ve never been afraid to be edgy, they’ve never been afraid to put a young athlete on. They gave me lines. At first, I thought I’d just be standing there, but they gave me lines, and I think that’s kind of what separates ‘Y&R’ from some of the other daytime soaps,” he said.

It’s not the first screen time for the Seahawks fullback. His webcast “Real Rob Report” was a fan favorite, and he often acts as Marshawn Lynch’s official spokesperson — often with hilarious results. He hopes his cameo leads to more opportunities.

“I want to be back on ‘Y&R’ and I would hope that the Super Bowl and this ‘Y&R’ opportunity will be able to open doors in acting because that’s something I would love to do.”
