Can Adderall cause a lack of focus?

Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman may be slightly distracted by their potential suspensions, you can expect that the rest of the team is preparing for the Bears with a distraction level of zero.

The Seahawks must take their show on the road

The hassles of travel can be a nightmare. But when the Seahawks travel nearly 9,000 miles to Miami and Chicago over the next two weeks, they'll experience none of that.

Pete Carroll and John Schneider: the honey badgers

In a copy-cat league where personnel decisions and play-calling never gets very far out of the box, John Schneider and Pete Carroll buck traditional, safe decision making and do what they believe in.

In defense of defense: Seahawks’ hasn’t been that bad

The Seahawks defense has had some recent struggles on third down and against the run, but a closer look at the numbers shows that unit is still very good.

Don’t expect Seahawks’ third-down issues to linger

Even though the Seahawks struggled to get off the field against the Lions on Sunday, I entirely reject the notion that third down is a problem and write it off as pure happenstance.

Stafford to Megatron: Ticking timebomb or dud?

With Seattle playing Detroit on Sunday, Seahawks fans might be wondering whether the Matthew Stafford-to-Calvin Johnson connection was a one-hit wonder or a combination that is about to explode.

Don’t feel too bad about the Seahawks’ loss, 4-3 record

As much as it pains me, I have to give credit to the 49ers’ coaching staff for their 13-6 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night. Yes, that includes the “Merry bleeping Christmas” guy, too. One of the 49ers’ coaches, reportedly offensive coordinator Greg Roman, shouted out a rude Christmas greeting last season after their […]

Seahawks have 11 reasons to not fear Cam Newton

Cam Newton, the Panthers' 6-foot-5, 245-pound quarterback, presents a challenge for any defense. But the Seahawks have what it takes to stop him.

Seahawks doing the little things on defense

Lost in all the attention and focus on Golden Tate's questionable catch for a game-winning touchdown is a defensive effort that will be scary to any future opponent.

Golden Tate was fined for playing football

Seahawks receiver Golden Tate was reportedly fined $21,000 for his block on a Dallas linebacker, but what was he supposed to do?

Everyone gets knocked on their butt

While watching Seahawks rookies Russell Wilson and J.R. Sweezy struggle in their NFL debuts on Sunday, I was reminded of something a former teammate once told me while I was a rookie.

Carroll, Schneider have built a contender with misfits

When the Seahawks take the field Sunday down in the desert of Arizona, they may look like a normal pro football team at first glance. But a closer look should reveal some sort of Billy Bean-like "Money Ball" experiment.

Plenty to like about new Seahawk Bruce Irvin

The Seahawks' selection of Bruce Irvin with the 15th pick sent me scrambling to my computer to find some information on this guy. Once I found his bio and footage of his sacks, I started to get excited about him.

A glimpse of Leroy Hill’s rude awakening

When will Leroy Hill realize how good he has it as an NFL player? Hopefully before it's too late.

Seahawks fans: You think you have problems at quarterback?

How would you like to be John Elway? OK, so maybe it would be nice to have two Super Bowl rings and millions of dollars. But what is the former quarterback and current executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos supposed to do at the quarterback position in the offseason?

Get a quarterback? It’s easier said than done

There's a supply and demand crisis for good quarterbacks in the NFL. Everyone wants one and they're hard to find.

Hello?! You play to win the game!

The Seahawks are at 7-8 going into Sunday's game, and getting to .500 is a huge milestone in any coach's or owner's eyes. Every win means you're a few percentage points better, and when it's time to re-up that contract, a loss against Arizona in a meaningless game at the end of the season could in fact mean everything.

Tarvaris Jackson: How do you like me now?!

Tarvaris Jackson has endeared himself to Seahawks fans with his physical toughness. He's played hurt and withstood being folded in half on a number of occasions while the offensive line worked out their problems. But it's his emotional and mental toughness that Seahawks fans admire.

Seahawks backups are playing more like starters

When Pete Carroll came to town he preached the "always compete" mantra and next year that's what we're going to see in training camp whether some players like it or not.

Draft? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Draft

But the 2011 Seattle Seahawks make a great case for something that I've been saying for years - the NFL draft gets over-hyped.

Kam Chancellor is one reason to be excited about Seahawks’ future

At this point in the season, Kam Chancellor is considered to be a candidate -- albeit a longshot -- for the Pro Bowl and a big reason why Seahawks fans are so excited about the future of this team.

Chris Clemons does the dirty work on Seahawks’ D-line

Chris Clemons is the Seahawks' best pass-rusher, but it's the dirty work he does that makes him such a valuable defender, one the Hawks should strongly consider re-signing.

Seahawks, Carroll must find way to keep Tom Cable

Since UCLA fired head coach Rick Neuheisel, the rumors that UCLA and Tom Cable are mutually interested in one another is something that should be disturbing to Seahawks fans.
