RENTON – Percy Harvin is back.

That much can be said after the Seahawks held their first practice of the week in preparation for Thursday’s regular-season opener against Green Bay.

But since Seattle was not required to release an injury report Sunday, that’s the only detail the team revealed when it came to the status of the players on the 53-man roster.

Harvin was absent from two days of practice last week for personal reasons, and did not travel with the team to Oakland for the final exhibition game, staying back in Seattle along with several players who were banged up.

Receiver Kevin Norwood and linebacker Bruce Irvin are both on the active roster, and eligible to both practice and play.

The team’s practice 10-man squad did begin to take shape, though, with eight players participating in the workout: quarterback B.J. Daniels, safeties Steven Terrell and Terrance Parks, running back Demitrius Bronson, tight end RaShaun Allen, guard Nate Isles, wide receiver Chris Matthews and defensive tackle Jimmy Staten.

Several players who were cut by Seattle landed elsewhere. Defensive end Benson Mayowa was claimed by Oakland and offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann by Cleveland, continuing the steady migration of Seahawks’ linemen to that franchise. Linebacker Korey Toomer cleared waivers, however, and was signed to the Cowboys’ 53-man roster afterward.
