The Mariners have found a suitor for Alex Liddi, who they designated for assignment on June 28.

Like several recent former M’s prospects, Liddi was shipped Saturday to the Baltimore Orioles, along with Seattle’s International Signing Slot #3, in exchange for the O’s International Signing Slot #2.

Liddi played just eight games for the Mariners in 2013, hitting just .059 (1-for-17). The 24-year-old had a .263 average with 11 home runs and 43 RBI in 240 at-bats for Triple-A Tacoma. He is the first Italian-born and developed player to reach the Major League level.

Liddi was designated for assignment to make room on the Mariners’ 40-man roster for shortstop Brad Miller.
