Differing opinions on whether Ibanez was snubbed

Raul Ibanez clubbed another home run Monday night, giving him 22 on the season to go along with 51 RBIs, a .260 average and an .869 OPS. That’s not bad for any major leaguer, let alone a 41-year-old veteran who wasn’t expected to be an everyday player when the season began.
While Ibanez’s monster first half has been a pleasant surprise for the Mariners, it wasn’t enough (not yet, at least) to earn a spot on the American League All-Star team. Mike Trout, Adam Jones and Jose Bautista are the AL’s starting outfielders, while Nelson Cruz, Torii Hunter and Alex Gordon are the reserves.
