Seahawks mock draft: Jake Heaps takes on the role of general manager
Apr 13, 2020, 11:07 AM
How will the Seahawks’ 2020 NFL Draft play out next week?
Do the Seahawks need to take a receiver in this receiver-rich draft?
We’re trying to get an idea at 710 ESPN Seattle, so we enlisted some of our premier football minds to take us through a mock draft.
Jake Heaps, a former Seahawks quarterback and current co-host of Tom, Jake and Stacy, joined Danny and Gallant co-host Paul Gallant over the weekend for a video mock draft, which you can watch in the player embedded above. Gallant hosts the proceedings, while Heaps takes on the role of Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider in the video.
What are the big needs for the Hawks in the draft? Who are the options Seattle will be mulling over? Heaps and Gallant take you through all of that in the video.
The Seahawks currently have seven picks in the draft. They are:
• Round 1: No. 27
• Round 2: 59
• Round 2: 64
• Round 3: 100
• Round 4: 130
• Round 4: 143
• Round 6: 213
The draft itself is scheduled to begin with the first round on Thursday, April 23. The second and third rounds will follow on April 24, and the final four rounds will commence on April 25. We will have special coverage of the draft on 710 ESPN Seattle and 710Sports.com on each day.
