Groz: The lessons of sports teach us what we need to do during crisis

It didn’t take long for the sports world to come crashing to a halt. But at this point, that’s hardly the biggest story in our lives.
With restaurants being shut down and events all but banned, it’s a scary time during the coronavirus pandemic.
As 710 ESPN Seattle’s Dave “The Groz” Grosby says in his latest Just A Minute video, now is the time to look back on the lessons we’ve learned from sports to help us get through the crisis.
“Here’s hoping we apply the lessons of sports through the next troubled weeks,” Groz says. “That we avoid despair with teamwork. That we rely on each other, just like a good team does. We practice fair play and play by the rules. And remember, we are only as strong as our weakest link. We stay positive because it’s never over. Remember these words: It will be impossible to know if we over-reacted or did too much, but it will be quite apparent if we under-react or did too little. Be good to each other. Look out for your neighbors and we’ll be fine.”
