The Seattle Seahawks received some good news before their Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC playoffs.

With the sixth-seeded Minnesota Vikings knocking off No. 3 seed New Orleans 26-20 in overtime Sunday afternoon, it created an easier path for the Seahawks to the Super Bowl – at least on paper. The Seahawks will get to see where that path leads them, as they are headed to Green Bay to play the second-seeded Packers in the second round next week. The Sunday, Jan. 12 game will have a 3:40 p.m. kickoff and will air on both 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. Coverage will start at 12:30 p.m. with the pregame show.

As the lowest seed in the playoffs, the No. 6 Vikings have to head to the Bay Area to take on the top-seeded 49ers at 1:35 p.m. next Saturday.

Minnesota’s victory did something else for the Seahawks – it kept alive the chance of Seattle hosting a playoff game. If the Vikings can upset the 49ers and the Seahawks can beat Green Bay, Minnesota would then travel to CenturyLink Field for the conference championship game on Jan. 19. And even if the Vikings lose to San Francisco next week, it at least delays a possible rematch between the Seahawks and 49ers until the NFC Championship, meaning a Seattle-San Francisco matchup won’t feature a 49ers team coming off its first-round bye.

Here’s a look at what the rest of the NFL playoffs look like going into Seattle’s first-round meeting with the Eagles:

Divisional Round

Saturday, Jan. 11

NFC: Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers, 1:35 p.m.

NFC: Seahawks at Green Bay Packers, 3:40 p.m.
