The Mariners announced their second roster move since their last game, designating outfielder Mac Williamson for assignment and calling up utility man Kristopher Negrón and right-handed pitcher Erik Swanson from Triple-A Tacoma.

The Mariners previously activated reliever Sam Tuivailala from the DL and optioned a pair of bullpen arms to Triple-A on Monday.

With the moves, the Mariners’ 40-man roster is now full.

Negrón was added to the 40-man roster, as this is his first promotion to the Mariners this season. He played 18 games with the M’s last season. With the Rainiers, the 33-year-old Negrón is hitting .310 with 12 home runs, a .396 on-base percentage and .503 slugging percentage. He has played every position except center field and catcher this year – and yes, that includes two appearances on the mound.

Swanson, 25, begins his third stint with the Mariners this year after being recalled from Tacoma. Acquired in the offseason from the Yankees in the trade that sent James Paxton to New York, the right-handed Swanson has a 5.55 ERA in 10 games (five starts) with the Rainers and 8.04 ERA in seven games (six starts) with the Mariners.

The 28-year-old Williamson joined Seattle on a minor league deal on June 5 following his release from the San Francisco Giants. He was immediately called up by the Mariners and hit a pinch-hit home run in his first at-bat for the team. He has struggled since, however, hitting just .183 with three home runs, nine walks and 26 strikeouts in 77 at-bats with Seattle. The Mariners have seven days to trade, release or outright Williamson to the minors.

The Mariners return to action at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday night in Oakland against the Athletics. Broadcast coverage begins at 6 p.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle with the pregame show.
