The Seahawks are finalizing a two-year deal that would keep starting right guard D.J. Fluker in Seattle, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday morning.

The news comes shortly after Seattle reportedly signed ex-Cardinals left guard Mike Iupati.

Seattle entered the 2019 season with both of its starting guards — Fluker and J.R. Sweezy — entering free agency. Sweezy has since signed a two-year deal with the Cardinals. Re-signing Fluker would allow the Seahawks to bring back four of its five starters from 2018. Along with Fluker, that list includes right tackle Germain Ifedi, center Justin Britt, and left tackle Duane Brown.

The Seahawks originally signed Fluker, 28, in March 2018. The former 2013 first-round pick out of Alabama spent his first four seasons with the then-San Diego Chargers before signing with the Giants, where he played under current Seahawks offensive line coach Mike Solari.

He appeared in 10 games for Seattle last season and was part of a Seahawks offensive line that jumped from 29th in pass-blocking efficiency to 17th. Fluker allowed just nine pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

In addition to the signing of Fluker and Iupati, Seattle is also rumored to have re-signed outside linebacker K.J. Wright. You can read more on that and on Seattle’s departures in our free agency tracker.

This is a developing story.
