There’s been a lot to like about the Mariners’ spring training so far, such as Mitch Haniger homering in his first plate appearance of Cactus League play and Marco Gonzales’ sharp outing on Tuesday.

It never hurts to put things into perspective, though.

In Wednesday’s Need to Know video from Mariners spring training, that’s what 710 ESPN Seattle’s Brock and Salk provide. Sure, Haniger and Gonzales are budding stars in Major League Baseball, but what about when you compare them to what perennial playoff teams like the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers?
