The Gonzaga Bulldogs (27-2, 14-0) reclaimed the top spot in the AP Top 25 College Basketball poll, surpassing Duke (24-3), who fell two spots after last week’s loss to North Carolina.
The Zags, who beat BYU 102-68 on Saturday, aren’t the only Washington team to move up in the poll: The UW Huskies (22-5, 13-1) cracked the Top 25 at No. 25.
The Huskies, who remain undefeated at home, are having their best season in nearly a decade. Washington began the season ranked 25th but fell out of the poll following a loss to then-No. 11 Auburn in the first week of play.
Both Gonzaga and Washington will next play Thursday, Feb. 28 – the Huskies with a road game against Cal at 8 p.m., and the Zags with a road game against the Pacific Tigers at 8 p.m.
