Russell Wilson will be joining two of his Seahawks teammates at the 2019 Pro Bowl later this month.

Biggest takeaways from Carroll’s season-ending press conference

The Seahawks quarterback was named to the Pro Bowl on Wednesday, replacing injured Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He’ll join New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff on the NFC team.

Wilson, 30, threw for 35 touchdowns this year, a single season career- and franchise-record.

The Seahawks originally had two players named to the Pro Bowl: linebacker Bobby Wagner and punter Michael Dickson. The Seahawks had seven alternates, prior to Wilson taking Rodgers’ place. The remaining alternates include running back Chris Carson, defensive end Frank Clark, wide receiver Tyler Lockett, safety Bradley McDougald, linebacker K.J. Wright and guard J.R. Sweezy.

This year’s Pro Bowl will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 27.
