Right guard was the big question for Seattle all week.
Turns out that right tackle is actually where the Seahawks will need a replacement.

D.J. Fluker is active for the Seahawks for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, though Ethan Pocic will still start at right guard. Fluker missed the last two games with a strained hamstring, and general manager John Schneider said during a pre-game radio interview that while Fluker may play, the plan is for Pocic to play most of the game at right guard.
“Pocic’s gonna go and we’ll see how it goes,” Schneider said to Steve Raible on the Seahawks Radio Network, “(We’ll) see if Fluke can get a couple series, or how that’s going to play. We’ll see how it goes.”
Germain Ifedi, however, is out after he suffered a groin injury during Thursday’s practice.
Ifedi had started all 14 games at right tackle this season. George Fant – who has played extensively as a third tackle this season – will likely start in his place.
Bradley McDougald is also active. The safety was not present for any of Seattle’s practices this week as he was out of town receiving treatment on his injured knee, but coach Pete Carroll had indicated Friday that he would have been surprised were McDougald not in the lineup.
Cornerback Tedric Thompson is out for Seattle’s secondary, though. The Seahawks did not announce who would start in his place, but Shalom Luani is the most likely candidate.
Defensive tackle Jarran Reed, cornerback Shaquill Griffin and long-snapper Tyler Ott were all listed as questionable on Friday, but all are active.
The full list of Seattle’s inactives is running back Rashaad Penny, cornerback Kalan Reed, running back Bo Scarbrough, defensive linemen Naz Jones and Branden Jackson, Ifedi and Thompson.
