The Mariners and the 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers

Kyle Seager whacked a two-run homer in the 4th inning last night to extend the Seattle Mariners consecutive game home run streak to 23 games. The Mariners have pulled into a tie for the sixth longest streak in baseball.

The Mariners have a chance to do something very special tonight. If the M’s launch one more home run tonight they will tie the 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers. From June 18th to July 10th 1953 the Dodgers homered a total of 39 times in 24 straight games.
