It finally happened. ESPN’s College GameDay came to Pullman in preparation of a big WSU game at Martin Stadium.

The event wouldn’t have felt complete if not for one important aspect, though. Lee Corso, one of the show’s longtime hosts, always makes his pick for GameDay’s game of the week by putting on the head of the mascot he expects to win. And if he didn’t pick the No. 25 Cougars to beat the No. 12 Oregon Ducks, putting on a Duck mascot head instead of that of WSU’s Butch T. Cougar, well, there could have been a riot on the Washington State campus.
There were no riots on Saturday morning in the Palouse. Just a grown man in a Cougar head making a lot – and I mean a lot – of WSU fans happy.

So there you have it. “The Coach” picked the Cougs. Next up is the game itself, which you can hear live on 710 ESPN Seattle starting with the pregame show at 2:30 p.m., followed by kickoff at 4:30.
