The Seahawks’ offense was firing on all cylinders Sunday for their best performance of the season – and that’s exactly what made Seattle’s 33-31 loss to the Los Angeles Rams all the more heartbreaking.
Seahawks fall to Rams: Clayton’s observations | Danny’s recap
“This was probably the best example of the Seahawks executing their gameplan and doing everything they wanted to do, especially offensively,” 710 ESPN Seattle’s Mike Salk said Monday. “It just seems to odd to see them let down after that.”
Regardless of the record, fellow 710 ESPN Seattle host Brock Huard said the Seahawks have found their blueprint and have shown they can stick to it. It just might include a few gut-wrenching losses.
“This is going to be, I think, the blueprint all season long,” Huard said. “If you’re going to play black and blue, and you’re going to knock people around, and you’re going to run the ball and shorten the game, there are going to be a handful of plays in the fourth quarter. When you make them in Arizona, you win a game. When you don’t make them in Chicago, or Denver, or unfortunately at the very end yesterday, you come up on the other side.”
Huard and Salk sat down with head coach Pete Carroll for an interview Monday morning at Seahawks headquarters to recap the game. In the video above, Huard and Salk break down what stood out to them after their conversation with Carroll.
