Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll joined Dori Monson on 97.3 KIRO FM Friday to preview Seattle’s upcoming Monday night game against the Chicago Bears.

Report: Seahawks signing LB Mychal Kendricks | Thursday takeaways

“(The Bears) are a good enough team to beat you in the running game,” Carroll said. “I don’t know if they’re going to throw the ball a lot but (quarterback Mitchell Trubisky) threw it 35 times last week. Their defense is really good, too, and their specials teams are good and their returner is really good. They have a lot of ways to make it hard on you, and so we’re going to have to play a really complete football game.”

Here are a few other notes from Carroll’s interview with Monson. You can hear Monson’s interviews with Carroll every Friday at 12:30 p.m. on 97.3 KIRO FM:

On K.J. Wright, who had knee surgery days before the regular season: “K.J.’s working his way back. He’s positive about it. He’s day to day.”

How big a factor was Doug Baldwin’s absence in the second half of last week’s game?: “He’s a terrific player for us. Other guys stepped up and all. But if anything it affected us on third down. He’s been such a great performer there and we could’ve really used him there. And unfortunately we didn’t have him.”

Any idea how long he’ll be out with a knee injury? “We don’t know yet.”

Any other injuries we should be aware of? “Well, we’re working on some guys. You’ll see them, there will be some guys that will be on the (final injury report) list here (and) we’ve got to see how we get to game time and see who can play.”
