Mariners add Daniel Vogelbach, Gordon Beckham and Casey Lawrence to active roster

With Triple-A Tacoma’s season over, the Mariners made three additional September call-ups Tuesday.

First baseman Daniel Vogelbach, infielder Gordon Beckham and right-handed pitcher Casey Lawrence have been recalled from the Rainiers and will be in uniform for Tuesday’s 7:10 p.m. game at Safeco Field against the Baltimore Orioles.
Vogelbach, 25, is returning to the Mariners for his fifth stint with the team this year. He is 14 for 66 (.212) with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBIs, six runs scored and a .342 on-base percentage for Seattle. In 84 games with Tacoma, he led the Pacific Coast League with a .434 OBP and finished the year with a .290 batting average, 20 home runs, 16 doubles, 60 RBIs, 54 runs scored and a .979 OPS.
The 31-year-old Beckham is back for his fourth stint with the M’s in 2018. He is 8 for 36 (.222) with one double, one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base for Seattle. At Tacoma, he hit .302 with 10 home runs, 24 doubles, one triple, 51 RBIs, 64 runs scored, .400 OBP and .858 OPS in 94 games.
Lawrence, 30, begins his fifth stint with Seattle this year on Tuesday. He has made eight relief appearances for the Mariners, giving up 16 earned runs over 17 1/3 innings pitched (8.31 ERA). He pitched in 19 games for Tacoma, including 16 starts, going 7-5 with a 3.31 ERA.
This was the second round of additions made by the Mariners since rosters expanded on Sept. 1, putting their current active roster at 35 players.
