What moves could the Mariners make ahead of the MLB trade deadline? Which Seahawks player is most likely to be granted an extension this summer? What was behind Mike Leach’s tweet?

Our hosts and guests explored those questions in this week’s most talked-about interviews from 710 ESPN Seattle.

Mike Leach talks about his controversial tweet

Washington State head coach Mike Leach found himself in hot water this past weekend when he tweeted, and then deleted, a doctored video of former President Barack Obama. Leach joined Brock and Salk Friday morning and said that while he took down the video when he found out it was fake, he stands by his belief that he was just looking to have a dialogue. In on-the-field news, Leach talks about the Cougs’ mentality heading into a challenging new season. Listen to Mike Leach’s interview with Brock and Salk.

Greg Amsinger examines M’s starting rotation

If the Mariners acquire another starting pitcher before the July 31 trade deadline, who becomes the odd man out in their starting rotation? Bob, Groz, and Tom were joined by MLB Network’s Greg Amsinger who lets them know who he would consider sitting down if the postseason is in Seattle’s cards. Greg Amsinger breaks it down in his interview with Bob, Groz and Tom.

Ice Cube previews the upcoming BIG3 season

Today was a good day! Ice Cube spoke with our very own Danny O’Neil about the upcoming season of the Big3 (and Ice Cube has some words for Jim and his “Moore-ons”).

Seahawks contract situations explained

“The Professor” John Clayton explored the contract situations surrounding a few key Seahawks (including Earl Thomas, K.J. Wright, Tyler Lockett, Frank Clark, and Duane Brown) and took a deep dive during his show Friday to talk about the tough decisions Seattle is facing this year.
