Stelton: How long until Mariners should extend Servais, Dipoto?
The Mariners and Tigers will make up the game as part of a doubleheader Saturday. Game 1 of the twinbill will start at 1:10 p.m., with the nightcap following 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest.
Seattle will be without manager Scott Servais for Saturday’s two games, as he is attending his daughter’s graduation from graduate school. Manny Acta will serve as manager, with Ichiro Suzuki filling in for Acta as bench coach.
With Saturday’s doubleheader, the Mariners will play two makeup games in the span of three days. They’ll be stopping in Minneapolis on the way back to Seattle on Monday to play a game previously scheduled for April 8 that was postponed due to weather.
