The NFL is in a golden age for talented young quarterbacks with bright futures.
The 49ers have third-year QB Colin Kaepernick, who took Alex Smith’s job midseason in 2012 to lead San Francisco to the NFC Championship. The Colts are led by Andrew Luck, who was good enough that the Indianapolis brass felt comfortable giving him Peyton Manning’s job. The Redskins’ Robert Griffin III is known for being just as good throwing deep as his scrambling from trouble, and he led Washington to the playoffs in his rookie year.
But in his latest piece on the Grantland Network, Bill Barnwell pinpointed the Seahawks’ Russell Wilson as the best of the lot — at least when it comes to how well he will perform in 2013.
Barnwell has a myriad of reasons for choosing Wilson, including his ability to stay healthy, as he detailed in an interview on “Brock and Danny.”
Danny O’Neil agrees with Barnwell’s pick, but he has his own reasons for selecting Wilson as the top talent for this season, as he explains in the video below.
