The Seahawks have signed their second player from free agency, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo: ex-Panthers tight end Ed Dickson.

The team has since confirmed the signing.

NFL Network Ian Rapoport reports it’s a three-year deal with a max value of $14 million, with the first year fully guaranteed.

Signing Dickson adds a veteran to the Seahawks’ tight end group, which this offseason lost Jimmy Graham – and could see Luke Willson sign elsewhere as well. Seattle now has three tight ends on the roster: Dickson, Nick Vannett, and Tyrone Swoopes.

Dickson, 30, was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent his last four seasons with the Carolina Panthers. Through eight seasons, Dickson has 178 catches for 1,985 yards and 12 touchdowns.
