The Seahawks are parting ways with cornerback Jeremy Lane, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The roster news came just minutes after the release of All-Pro corner Richard Sherman.

Lane, 27, was originally drafted by the Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In six seasons with Seattle, he has recorded two interceptions and 103 tackles. He was also a part of Seattle’s Super Bowl XLVIII-winning roster.
Lane was part of a trade with the Texans in October 2017. Seattle originally sent Lane, a 2018 fifth-round draft pick and 2019 second-round selection to the Texans for Pro Bowl left tackle Duane Brown. However, Lane landed back in Seattle after failing his physical with Houston.
