“I like what they’ve done in the offseason, some of the pick-ups,” Kurkjian told 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob, Groz and Tom. “I think the league is a little bit stronger this year and I think that they’ve got their work cut out for them, but I think they’re gonna be in the hunt – and as long as you’re a contender, you just have to have a few things bounce your way, and then maybe, maybe you make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.”
Kurkjian delved into even more about the Mariners and baseball’s slow offseason in his interview with Bob, Groz and Tom. You can listen to an excerpt at player at the top of this post, or find the whole conversation in this podcast.
