Report: WSU to name Florida Atlantic’s Pat Chun athletic director

Washington State University will name Pat Chun, the current athletic director at Florida Atlantic, its new AD, according to ESPN.

Chun has been at FAU since 2012, most notably hiring Lane Kiffin to be the Owls’ head football coach prior to the 2017 season. Before arriving at FAU, he spent 15 years at Ohio State in the Buckeyes’ athletic department.
WSU had originally scheduled an introductory press conference for a new athletic director for Wednesday morning, but canceled it Tuesday night after it was found that Cougars quarterback Tyler Hilinski had died of an apparent suicide.
WSU has been searching for a new athletic director since Bill Moos left for Nebraska in October. John Johnson has been serving as interim AD.
