The firings of offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and offensive line coach Tom Cable may not be the only moves made by the Seahawks this week.
Report: Seahawks’ Kris Richard to interview for Colts’ HC position
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that Seahawks’ defensive coordinator Kris Richard will be allowed out of his contract, potentially freeing up another coaching position.
More change coming for the #Seahawks: DC Kris Richard would be allowed out of his contract for another opportunity, sources say. He's had a long relationship with Pete Carroll, who believes Richard would benefit from experiencing something new. Could have OC & DC openings.

As of now, Richard remains on Seattle’s staff. But changes on Seattle’s coaching staff have been speculated since a loss to Arizona in their season finale on Dec. 31. Reports of Bevell’s release Tuesday evening added fuel to to the rumors of a change elsewhere.
“Any time a head coach decides, ‘You are allowed to now go seek other opportunities,’ generally that means the person is not coming back,” Rapoport said later Wednesday afternoon, “and that is the case for Kris Richard. Very close relationship with Pete Carroll, but from my understanding, Pete Carroll believes that Richard will benefit from having a new coaching experience.”
Richard, who interviewed for the head coaching position with Indianapolis last week, originally joined a Pete Carroll-led coaching staff in 2008 at USC. Richard followed Carroll to Seattle as a defensive backs coach, and was ultimately promoted to defensive coordinator in 2015.
