The Seahawks rebounded on Sunday with a 21-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys, in part due to stellar performances by Bobby Wagner and the rest of the Seattle defense.
“We just came back focused. We knew that last week was not the way we play,” Wagner told 710 ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton.
“Our tackling was definitely better. You know, last week we tackled piss-poor, including myself. That was a big focus of ours. I felt like we definitely bounced back.”
What We Learned: Reports of Seahawks’ defensive demise were greatly exaggerated
Due to a lingering hamstring injury, Wagner said it’s been about six weeks since he’s been able to practice fully. “It’s alright. It’s very, very sore right now,” he said.
The Seahawks, who knocked the Cowboys out of the playoff hunt, can clinch a wild-card spot with a win over the Cardinals and a Falcons loss to the Panthers next week.
“We’re battle-tested. We’ve been through so much. This is just another challenge for us. We’ve got a room full of guys that love challenges so we’re stepping to the plate,” Wagner said. “We’re going to keep fighting no matter what and no matter what the situation is.”
