Blue 42: Last week was worst Seahawks tackling of Pete Carroll era

Pete Carroll called the Seahawks’ loss against the Rams last week “really dismal.” One major contributing factor in that loss was Seattle’s poor tackling.
Can the team fix it’s tackling woes before Sunday’s matchup against a reportedly rejuvenated Ezekiel Elliot and the Dallas Cowboys?
In a word: no.
“There is no doubt that will be talked about every day. But to go on a football field and fix it fundamentally in a week, you’re not doing it this time of year. You don’t even have enough bodies to go out there and really hit and tackle,” said 710 ESPN Seattle’s Brock Huard on his Blue 42 segment of Brock and Salk.
Seahawks must show they’re not as bad as their last loss
And although last week was a particularly bad game for tackling, Huard said it’s more than just a one-week hiccup. It’s a problem that will need a more long-term solution.
“Watching that Gurley highlight of that 50-something yard run just makes me sick. It makes me just want to puke,” Huard said. “Just watching the effort, watching everybody on their heels, that looked like the old days. That looked like the old Seahawks that got run through. That did not look like anything Pete Carroll has ever put on the field defensively.”
