The Los Angeles Rams come to Seattle on Sunday to determine which team is going to win the NFC West. On Schooled with the Professor, we catch up with Nolan Cromwell to discuss both teams.
Cromwell is the perfect person to discuss Sunday’s game. He’s a former Rams defensive back, a player who made the league’s all-decade team for the 1980s, and he’s twice been an assistant coach with the Rams. He’s also coached in Seattle on Mike Holmgren’s staff.
Cromwell and my discussion starts with the building of the current Rams team. He goes into great detail into how good Sean McVay is as a coach. Nolan makes the comparison between McVay and Jon Gruden, who he coached with on a staff in Green Bay. He also gives an evaluation of where the Seahawks are and addresses Russell Wilson comparison to Fran Tarkenton. Cromwell’s opinions are interesting because he gives the specifics of how the playing styles of both Wilson and Tarkenton play and why they’re tough to stop.
Get ready for Rams-Seahawks with a history lesson from a objective observer who has been on both sides.
