Tom Wassell of 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob, Groz and Tom show joins Shannon Drayer and James Osborn this week for one hour of baseball talk on the Hot Stove Podcast.

How M’s stack up in Ohtani sweepstakes | Salk on Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani was of course the topic of interest this week as all of baseball tries to figure out where his eventual landing spot will be. Does the questionnaire that was given to teams provide any insight into who he is as a ballplayer, and what is he looking for in a new home? What should be expected of him in his first year? Have we seen a situation like this before, and how important is it to the game of baseball right now? What impact could he have as a Mariner, and what happens if they don’t get him?

In addition to the Ohtani talk, we hear a little bit about Wassell’s adventures at Safeco Field including a dilemma he faced when he encountered a World Series hero from his childhood favorite team.
