RENTON – Four games after Chris Carson suffered a season-ending injury, the rookie is still the Seahawks leading rusher.

And after a month of waiting for another running back to emerge, Pete Carroll decided that he has been part of the problem.

Moore: Seahawks will find where problem lies with run game

“I don’t feel like we’ve been in rhythm,” Carroll said. “I think I’ve held them back a little bit by spreading it around quite a bit and trying to figure that out so as we zero in here heading into the second half, I’m hoping we’re going to make some real headway.”

All right, Eddie Lacy. Sounds like you’re first up as Carroll started out a listing of Seattle’s stock of backs by saying, “You’re going to see a lot of Eddie this week.”

So it sounds like he might be the main back this week?

“Exactly as you said it,” Carroll said. “ ‘It sounds like, kind of, maybe.’ “

Sorry Pete, but that doesn’t exactly clear things up. Let’s check in with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.

“We are going to start with Eddie,” Bevell said after Wednesday’s practice, “and kind of let him go a little bit and then see where it goes from there.”

Lacy has had more than 10 carries in only two of Seattle’s seven games. He has gained 108 yards on 42 carries, an average of 2.6 yards per rush.
