Clayton: Injury will keep Trey Adams with Huskies, but he still has 1st-round NFL Draft potential

With Washington left tackle Trey Adams’ season over because of an apparent ACL injury, I thought it would be a good time to review where he is in the eyes of NFL scouts.

His play at left tackle has been so good, he was moving into first-round consideration. Coming into the season, he had more of a second-round grade. He could have entered his name into the NFL Draft, but it’s safe to say he’s going to stick around with the Huskies for another year.

Gee: Huskies have two talented but different QBs incoming

Players have routinely been able to recover from ACL injuries, so you can figure that the extra year should put him back under first-round consideration for the 2019 draft.

Adams is a rare talent. He’s 6-fot-8, 320 pounds and was a first-team All-Pac-12  selection as a sophomore in 2016.
