Pete Carroll joined Brock and Salk on 710 ESPN Seattle Monday morning to talk about the Seahawks’ 16-10 win over the Rams on Sunday and much more heading into the team’s bye week. You can listen to the entire interview here. Below are some highlights:

‘Sharp game’ for Wilson. Carroll said that while Russell Wilson’s performance may not jump off the stat sheet, he “really liked” his quarterback’s game against Los Angeles. “I thought he was resourceful and he was really battling. The drive before (halftime) and then the two-minute drive again was beautifully done. … I just thought it was a really sharp game by him.”

Compliments to the hosts. Carroll was impressed with the division rival Rams, who came into the game with a 3-1 record, having scored 35 or more points three times. “Best Rams team we’ve played in a long time. … Their offense has really got some firepower to it. (First-year head coach Sean McVay) brought that to them, and up until our game they’ve been roaring.”

Jordan nearing return. Defensive end Dion Jordan, who started the season on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list for a knee injury, has a chance to be back on the field after Seattle’s bye next weekend. “He’s worked really hard the last week,” Carroll said. “The strength and conditioning guys are busting his tail now to get him ready to see how far he can go. That would be an incredible boost for us to give him a chance to be in the mix.”

No progress on Avril’s condition. The Seahawks don’t have any new information on defensive end Cliff Avril’s neck injury that he suffered in Week 4, but Carroll said the bye week will be a benefit pertaining to that. “I think the week comes up at a good time for us. We’re trying to get as much time between the accident and when they reassess. No progress on that, no word on that, just keep going one day at a time really.”
