LOS ANGELES – No one remained seated on the Seahawks bench for the performance of the national anthem before Sunday’s game against the Rams.
Instead, Seattle’s defensive line stood side by side, arms around each other’s shoulders while the anthem was performed by Jordan Fisher at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Defensive lineman Michael Bennett had remained seated for the anthem beginning with Seattle’s first preseason game. Initially, Frank Clark and Cliff Avril would join Bennett on the bench as the anthem ended, but before Seattle’s Week 4 game, the entire defensive line joined Bennett in sitting on the bench as well as linebacker Michael Wilhoite.
On Sunday in Los Angeles, all players stood with the defensive linemen putting their arms around each other.
