Brandon Stokley was a great slot receiver in the NFL, including a season in 2010 with the Seahawks. He’s also a great storyteller and historian.
Stokley joins me on Schooled with the Professor at an appropriate time. Peyton Manning is having his statue unveiled in Indianapolis at Sunday’s Colts game against the San Francisco 49ers. Stokley was Manning’s slot receiver but also became one of his best friends.
Stokley goes into great detail giving anecdotes on how hard Peyton made his offensive players work, which led to a lot of wins and trips to the playoffs. He shares stories about Manning’s love for practical jokes, discusses the evolution of the slot receiver over the past 15 years, and gives an analysis of the top teams in the AFC West, which might be the best division in football.
