Wyman’s Football 101: How Titans exploited Seahawks on DeMarco Murray’s 75-yard TD

Sep 26, 2017, 3:42 PM

The start of this season has not been an easy one for the Seahawks’ run defense.

In 2016, Seattle led the NFL in fewest yards allowed per carry. Through three games in 2017, they’re ranked dead last.

In this week’s Football 101 video, 710 ESPN Seattle’s Dave Wyman takes a close look at the longest run play allowed so far by the Seahawks, DeMarco Murray’s 75-yard touchdown from last Sunday’s loss to Tennessee.

What We’re Trying To Figure Out: Are Seahawks too light up front?

Wyman also found some interesting run defense statistics, included below, that show just how good Seattle had been in recent years and just how much trouble it has had this season.

• 103 rushing yards allowed per game (10th in NFL)
