This week’s Washington Wednesdays pro prospect spotlight is Huskies inside linebacker Azeem Victor.
The season started poorly for Victor; he was suspended for the season-opener against Rutgers. Add that to the fact that his junior season ended prematurely with a leg fracture, and it’s been a rough year for him. He’s been back for the past two games, and now will be in action for an important game to start the Huskies’ Pac-12 schedule against Colorado on Saturday.
Victor is a stud. He has 4.6 to 4.7 second speed in the 40-yard dash, and many in the NFL consider him the best inside linebacker who could turn pro in 2018. He was likely headed to the draft last year until suffering his injury, even projected to be taken in the first three rounds. But missing this season’s opener has him trying to play catch-up. With a pair of games under his belt, he should have a good one against Colorado.
