Warren Moon talks playing Kenny Easley in college, upcoming Seahawks season on Schooled

Hall of Fame quarterback and Seahawks color commentator Warren Moon joined me on Schooled with the Professor, and many topics were on the table.

First, Warren educated us on what happens when players go back to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Each Friday during Hall of Fame Week there is the Ray Nitschke Luncheon for all the current and former Hall of Famers, named in honor of the longtime Green Bay Packers great. Warren takes you through some of the special moments when Hall of Famers come up and discuss what it means to be in the Hall of Fame. Often, it gets emotional.

Warren also described how special this year’s visit was with former Seahawks safety Kenny Easley went in as a Senior candidate. Moon talked about his final year playing for the Washington Huskies and what it was like to play against Easley, who was at UCLA, and Ronnie Lott, who was at Southern Cal.

After the Hall of Fame discussion, we moved on to go in depth on the Seahawks. Great insight was provided by Warren on what Russell Wilson has done with his body and his mind to get ready for this season. The running game was discussed in depth and we got into the offensive line. Putting on his quarterback cap, Moon points out what things might improve in the Seahawks offense and what it will mean to the season. He also breaks down the running backs and the amazing comeback of Jimmy Graham from patellar tendon surgery two seasons ago. Lots of good football discussion.
