Marco Gonzales is set to make his debut in a Mariners uniform – again.
Gonzales will start the first game of a doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals at 11:15 a.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle, a day after originally being slated to start in the place of the injured Felix Hernandez in a game that was postponed due to rain.
The traditional doubleheader at Kauffman Stadium, which will cap off a four-game series, will also feature Erasmo Ramirez starting for the M’s in the nightcap.
In the lineup for Game 1, Jean Segura is back in the leadoff spot with Royals lefty Danny Duffy on the mound, and designated hitter Nelson Cruz returns to action after missing Friday’s game due to neck spasms.
