The Mariners will look to James Paxton to hopefully be the stopper in Friday’s 5:15 game against Kansas City on 710 ESPN Seattle.

Both the American League’s current Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Month, Paxton comes into Game 2 of the series having won six games in a row, owning a 1.37 ERA and .182 batting average against over those starts. The Mariners, meanwhile, have lost two straight to fall back to an even .500 on the season.
