Could Russell Wilson learn something from Jordan Spieth?
During Monday’s show, Mike Salk of 710 ESPN Seattle’s “Brock and Salk” explains his reasoning for comparing the 28-year-old Seahawks quarterback and the 23-year-old professional golfer, who is fresh off a British Open win.
Salk stresses that Wilson is already successful and doesn’t need to change. However, there is one element of Spieth’s persona he would be interested to see Wilson utilize: “[Wilson] doesn’t need to do it in order to be successful – he is successful. He’s won a Super Bowl, made it back to another … but if he just had that one little element … I think he would go even further than he already has.”
Salk’s co-host, Brock Huard, said it’s tough to compare an athlete in a team sport to a pro golfer. He instead offers as a comparison a different NFL quarterback (hint: Seahawks fans may not be happy with this one).
