Mariners rookie Andrew Moore will make his third career start, and his last before the All-Star break, in Saturday night’s 7:10 game against the Oakland A’s on 710 ESPN Seattle.
Moore is 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA, 0.73 WHIP, eight strikeouts and no walks in 15 innings entering the game, with both of his outings being quality starts (at least six innings pitched with three or less earned runs allowed).

In Seattle’s lineup, left fielder Ben Gamel will hit second, third baseman Kyle Seager is back hitting fifth a day after being bumped down a spot, and Jarrod Dyson will play center field.
The A’s will send 36-year-old Chris Smith to the mound for his first MLB appearance this season and first career start. Smith, who spent time in the Mariners’ system in 2011, has made 63 relief appearances in the big leagues. He pitched in 13 games for Oakland in 2016, which was the first time he’d been in the majors since 2010.
