Danny Valencia returns to the lineup for the Mariners in the 7:10 series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies on 710 ESPN Seattle.
A sore wrist kept Valencia out of action for the previous two Mariners games, but he is back at first base and hitting seventh after Seattle had Monday off.

Also in the lineup for Seattle is Ben Gamel hitting second after being held out Sunday with what manager Scott Servais said was a lymph node problem.
“He had a little infection so he got on antibiotics the last couple days. He felt better yesterday,” Servais said.
Mitch Haniger is hitting sixth, Jarrod Dyson is in center field and hitting eighth, and Mike Zunino is penciled in at the No. 9 spot.
James Paxton will take the mound for the Mariners against Philadelphia’s Aaron Nola.
