Thursday night’s Mariners series opener against the Chicago White Sox will be Guillermo Heredia’s day off in Seattle’s outfield rotation.
Jarrod Dyson will return to center field after being off Wednesday, while Boog Powell will take over left field for Heredia.

On the mound for the M’s will be rookie Sam Gaviglio making his first career MLB start. Chicago will counter with fellow right-hander Dylan Covey.
Coverage on 710 ESPN Seattle will begin with the pregame show at 6, followed by first pitch at 7:10.
