RENTON – The Seahawks held their second of three rookie minicamp practices on Saturday, moving outside after rain forced them indoors on Friday. Here are some brief notes and observations as well as some video of the players the team made available afterward:

• Wide receiver Cyril Grayson was back after missing Friday’s practice to attend his graduation at LSU. My first impression of him – and granted, this is based on a handful of plays from a single practice – backed up what I had heard about him, which is that he looks awfully natural given his background. Grayson was a track star at LSU – the Seahawks said they clocked him at a 4.32 in the 40-yard dash – and hasn’t played football since high school. You wouldn’t guess the second part based on the way he moves around and catches the ball. Said fellow wide receiver Amara Darboh, one of Seattle’s third-round picks: “He’s a natural out there. I think he’s smooth with his routes and he’s fast as you guys know and he’s also a good guy. I got a chance to talk to him at lunch and everything. He’s trying to soak it all in just like we all are.”

• It was a good day for Seattle’s receivers as a whole Saturday. Seventh-round pick David Moore made a pair of nice catches, one on a deep ball that he had to jump for and another as he was falling out of bounds. Kenny Lawler, last year’s seventh-round pick, had a deep sideline grab himself. Anthony Kelly, a tryout player from a school called Kutztown in Pennsylvania, made a mid-air adjustment to haul in a deep ball of his own. He’s had a nice two days.

• Second-round pick Ethan Pocic remained at right tackle. As mentioned Friday, the Seahawks are keeping him there this weekend even though they view him as an option at center and guard as well. They’ve seen him play right tackle the least of those three positions, so they want to get a long look at him there to see how he might fit. Sixth-round pick Justin Senior is working at left tackle while Jordan Roos, an undrafted free agent who got a $20,000 signing bonus from Seattle, was playing next to him at left guard Saturday.

• Safety Tedric Thompson was one of four players who spoke to the media after practice. He talked about how he was overcome with emotion when the Seahawks drafted him in the fourth round.

• Third-round pick Nazair Jones said he’s been playing 3-technique, the defensive-tackle spot he’s played for most of his career. He’s rooming with fellow defensive lineman Malik McDowell, Seattle’s top pick. He described McDowell as cool and low-key.

• Here was Darboh, one of Seattle’s third-round picks, talking about coming from a pro-style offense at Michigan and playing special teams there. Those are two things the Seahawks liked about him.
