Jon Kitna has a story that is well known in the Pacific Northwest.
A native of Tacoma and alum of Central Washington University, he worked his way up from being an undrafted free agent to being the starting quarterback of the hometown Seattle Seahawks, eventually playing 14 seasons in the NFL before hanging his cleats up for good.
But there’s more to the story than just that.
Kitna joined Brock Huard on the third episode of Above & Beyond, and he detailed his youth that was marred by alcoholism, pride, theft, and cheating, and how things changed for him after hearing the Gospel for the first time at age 21.
