Seahawks’ odds to win the Super Bowl tied for 2nd worst among teams still in playoffs

If you’re feeling good about the Seahawks’ Super Bowl chances, now is the time to put your money where your mouth is.

The Seahawks have tied for the second worst odds to win Super Bowl LI among the eight remaining teams. Seattle’s odds for a second Championship in four years are 10-to-1, according to the Westgate SuperBook. Those are the same odds as the Green Bay Packers, who face the Dallas Cowboys this weekend, and better than that of the Houston Texans, who have 60-to-1 odds as they prep for the odds-on favorite New England Patriots.

The Seahawks will head to Atlanta to face the No. 2 seed Falcons on Saturday. Seattle is 3-4-1 on the road this season and, as ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton wrote, Pete Carroll’s teams have struggled on the road in the playoffs.

The Falcons finished with a 5-3 record at home in 2016, which is respectable, albeit a decline from their peak home-field-advantage stretch between 2008-12, where the team went 33-7 in the Georgia Dome.

If the Seahawks and Packers both win, the NFC conference championship will be held at CenturyLink Field. If the Seahawks and Cowboys win, it will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Here is how the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook odds looked at the start of the season vs. now:

Team     Opening odds    Current odds

Patriots                8-1            7-5

Cowboys             14-1          9-2

Falcons                40-1         7-1

Steelers                8-1           8-1

Chiefs                   20-1         8-1

Packers                10-1        10-1

Seahawks             8-1          10-1

Texans                  40-1        60-1
