Huskies’ Jake Browning named Pac-12 offensive player of the year

The Huskies football team will take home a ton of end-of-the-year hardware, with 18 players selected to the Pac-12 All-Conference team Tuesday and quarterback Jake Browning being named offensive player of the year. UW defensive back Taylor Rapp was also tabbed as the freshman defensive player of the year.
Browning, a sophomore, completed 65 percent of his passes for 3,162 yards and a school-record 40 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. He ranks fourth in the FBS in passing efficiency (181.6) and 17th in completion percentage (.650).
Browning was also named to the 2016 All-Pac-12 first-team conference team. He was joined by running back Myles Gaskin, receiver John Ross Jr., offensive linemen Trey Adams and Jake Eldenkamp, defensive lineman Elijah Qualls, linebacker Azeem Victor and defensive backs Budda Baker and Sidney Jones.
Wide receiver Gabe Marks, and defensive back Shalom Luani earned first-team honors for Washington State, with quarterback Luke Falk named to the second-team.
